molybdenum disulphide grease is an advanced lubricant used in a variety of industrial applications. It is available as an additive to oils and greases, or as a dry lubricant.
Commonly referred to as “Moly”, Molybdenum disulphide is a naturally occurring material found in the mineral molybdenite. It has a crystal lattice layered structure with weak bonds in different layers and strong bonds between atoms in single layers.
It is resistant to oxidation and can withstand extreme temperatures, rust, and corrosion. It is also resistant to moisture ingress.
When applied, molybdenum disulphide forms a thin layer that acts like a protective coating on metal surfaces and reduces friction. It is often used in industrial applications when reactive metals need to be treated with a protective coat to prevent galling.
This powder is an excellent lubricant for small, tight fitting components. It can be used as a dry lubricant for locks, gears, and bicycle components, or as an additive to oils and greases.
Molybdenum disulphide is an excellent lubricant for drive shafts and splines. These components are often used in automotive or motorcycle vehicles, as well as in agricultural equipment.
A stable dispersion of uniform, microscopic molybdenum disulfide particles in a highly refined petroleum oil concentrate. As an additive it substantially improves the anti-wear, anti-friction and extreme pressure capabilities of oils and greases and provides reliable lubrication in those demanding applications that approach boundary lubrication conditions.
Molybdenum disulphide is commonly referred to as “Moly”, and can be a component in many advanced oils and greases. It is a solid lubricant that is used for reduction of wear and friction. It is often used in industrial applications where extreme temperatures, rust, and corrosion are present.
